Leave, Paramilitary Forces

National News: All paramilitary leaves have been cancelled as India braces for potential fallout after a decisive military strike. In a carefully planned overnight operation named Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army targeted and destroyed nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Conducted at approximately 1:28 AM, the strike dismantled key infrastructure linked to terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. Over 30 terrorists were reportedly killed. Following the attack, the Ministry of Home Affairs placed all paramilitary units on high alert across the country.

Amit Shah Directs Enhanced Security Measures

According to highly placed sources in the Ministry, Home Minister Amit Shah has issued fresh instructions to the Directors General of all paramilitary forces. They have been asked to tighten surveillance and increase deployment along the international border to prevent any possible retaliation or infiltration attempt from Pakistan. The strike marks a sharp shift in India’s counter-terrorism policy—taking the fight straight to the source.

Red Alert in UP, Security Tightened Across Major Cities

In the immediate aftermath of the strike, a red alert was declared across Uttar Pradesh. State DGP Prashant Kumar confirmed the heightened threat level and directed all law enforcement units to ramp up security around key installations, public spaces, and religious sites. Police, anti-terror squads, and Rapid Action Force units have been mobilized across the state.

Nationwide Security Boost: Cities on High Alert

Other major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Jammu have also increased vigilance, with security agencies working round the clock to assess any secondary threats. Drone surveillance, highway checks, and intelligence coordination have been strengthened nationwide. The Home Ministry has called for inter-agency coordination to monitor sleeper cells and social media for signs of retaliatory planning.

Inside Operation Sindoor: Strategic Targets, Zero Civilian Casualties

Operation Sindoor was carefully planned and executed. Among the key targets were Hafiz Saeed’s bases in Lahore and Masood Azhar’s infrastructure in Bahawalpur. Indian forces also struck deep into PoK, destroying terror hubs in Muzaffarabad, Dhamol, Kotli, and Bagh. Sources in the defence establishment said that no civilian areas were touched during the strike, underscoring the precision of the operation.

Mission Briefing: Indian Military Shares Operation Insights

Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, who addressed the press conference alongside Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, stated that the mission was carried out after gathering actionable intelligence over several days. A major training facility in Kotli Abbas, where over 1500 terrorists were trained, was among the sites demolished.

PM Modi Monitored Operation, Pakistan Admits Strike

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly monitored the entire operation throughout the night. NSA Ajit Doval remained in constant contact with the forces on the ground and kept the PM informed. This rare level of real-time coordination between civil and military leadership reflects the gravity of the mission.

Pakistan Reacts to Indian Action

Pakistan, for its part, confirmed the strike. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif convened an emergency meeting late at night and vowed to respond, though no concrete move has been announced yet. However, India has made its intent clear—terrorism will now be answered with force, not diplomacy.
